A few weeks ago, Clint and I had an incredible chance to get away to Las Vegas without the kids! While I missed them terribly, we got to go out and experience some things that we may not have been able to do with them, and it truly gave us a chance to reconnect and grow even more as a married couple. Are you going to Vegas any time soon? Is this your first time, or are you an avid Vegas tripper? Either way, check out this travel guide to get some ideas of what to do on your next trip. If you want to learn more, click on the respective names of these awesome locations.
SlotZilla zip line: Okay, this is actually not something we were able to do, but it looked like so much fun! My cousin that we went with was actually able to go on the zip line with his friends, and they loved it. It goes right through Fremont Street, so you get to see all the lights and fun going on below. *Tip* Try it in the night for a thrilling experience!
Zac Bagan’s Haunted Museum: This was my FAVORITE part of our trip right here. I’m a museum lover in general, but this is a museum about all sorts of haunted items that Zac Bagan has acquired over the years. From the Dybbuk box (world’s most haunted item) to possessed dolls, this place has everything for the haunted ghost stories lover. Although you do have to be at least 16 and sign a waiver (so you can’t sue them in case a spirit attaches to you and follows you home), I highly, highly recommend checking this place out. Side story, my aunt’s tire blew out on the car ride home back to Idaho. Coincidence, right?
Mindfreak by Criss Angel: If you’re looking for a good magic show, highly recommend this one! Criss Angel has always been a different, not your usual guy, but man- He puts on a GOOD show! I can’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil it for people who haven’t seen the show, but it’s incredible. There were legit some parts where I was so into it, and then WHAT?! HOW DID HE DO THAT? Yeah, there were a lot of moments like that. And it was an insanely good show. 10/10!
The Fremont Experience: Something you NEED to do is visit Fremont Street. It is sooo cool! It is the old Las Vegas strip, and it’s just something you need to be there to experience. They play music on this huge overhead ceiling, there are bright, dazzling lights everywhere, and 80s rock cover bands constantly playing. If you like to gamble, the tables are a little cheaper here too! ALSO, there is 12.99 prime rib and lobster down here too and a WHITE CASTLE. Thought I’d throw that in because, ya know, cheap delicious food.
Traveling with kids? Check out the Discovery Center of Nevada! Located in the art district of Vegas, this place is huge for kid’s to go run off and have a good time.
Honorable Mentions: Gold & Silver Pawn Shop (as featured in Pawn Wars) ; the Mob Museum (rich in history about mafias all over the United States in the 20s-50s).
Thanks for checking this out! Stay tuned for Part 2 of Traveling to Vegas. Are you a local to Vegas or travel there a bit? Let me know if I missed anything! I would definitely love to check out other places the next time I go!
